Do you have 100 lbs or more to lose? Would you like to lose weight the slow safe way? Why not join the “Walk Weight Off 100 lb Weight Loss Challenge“? Just like the magic of getting rich slowly, walking weight off is the slow solution to weight loss! Interested? Here’s what you’ll need to do for starters!
- Make an appointment with your health professional. We’ve gone into this step in depth in a previous post, please read more here: Best Diet Plan
- Ok, we’ll be honest, this is going to take a HUGE investment on your part! But don’t panic, the investment is TIME, not money!!! But seriously, walk to the store right now and buy the nicest 3 ring binder you can find, and a spiral notebook. The “Walk Weight Off 100 lb Weight Loss Challenge” rules will be created by YOU for YOU!
- Now that you’ve made the HUGE financial investment in your new walk weight off diet, (was it $7.99?) take a fresh piece of paper and on the top of it write your name and today’s date.
- Weigh yourself, and write it down.
- Measure your waist and write it down.
- Write down this sentence and fill in the blanks: “Today I am going to do this more ______________ and today I am going to do this less _____________________. What will your goal be? When you determine your goals, your brain is engaged, and you “buy in”. Here are some suggestions to kick in your brain, the most important member of your weight loss team!
- Today I am going to do this more: drink water. Today I am going to do this less: drink soda.
- Today I am going to do this more: slice carrots and bring them with me. Today I am going to do this less: buy potatoe chips when I gas up the car.
- Today I am going to do this more: bring water in a glass or metal thermos to avoid the danger of leaving my plastic water bottle in the hot sun. Today I am going to do this less: buy fancy fru-fru coffee.
So you get it, if you pick one thing per day and think about it all day, you’re being kind and gentle to yourself. Just like an old fashioned knob on the T.V. – change the channel! When you’re about to do or think your “do less of” though or action, switch the channel to your “do more of” plan!
And today, pick your “walk”. Your “walk” doesn’t have to involve your feet! Are you challenged with walking? No problem! What physical activity can you do? If this is a challenge for you, please speak with your doctor about a proper way to move your body to increase muscle mass and increase your metabolism. Walking for weight loss might not be a healthy option for you right now, be open to the possibility of another movement or exercise that’s right for you! Because with healthy weight loss diets, the only “rules” are the ones that are perfectly right for YOU! So be kind and gentle with yourself, and get the help you need to hand craft your rules. Think about these simple ideas with healthy weight loss: your brain is in charge, and you might need to get some help from a professional with changing thinking habits, move more, drink healthy water, eat healthy foods.

I want to join the weight off 100lb weight loss challenge. How do I go about joining that?
Hi Stacy!
Thanks for your blog comment about the 100 pound weight loss challenge! If it’s ok with you I’d like to make a post with your first name, and write a little story about you – your situation, what motivates you today in your weight loss, and a picture if you’d like to provide that. As personal (or not) as you like. If you’d like to include any current measurements that would be cool, or if you’re shy about that it’s ok too. Then as you make some progress you could just post a comment update on your own blog post and let us know how you’re doing. Would that be of interest?
thanks,
Penny
